So i was lookin up ways to raise my compression a bit. I found out that if you hone out a cylinder one mm then you can switch to a N/A Z32 piston to achieve 11:1 compression on a DE. How much would you have if you did that to a VE?

wont work well because of the valve relief angles of the VG and SR. the lower combustion chamber of the ve may cause interference problems at some point. i had tried this a few years ago. decided it was a bad idea.

if you are going to go through disassembly you may as well get the right slugs to go 11.5 or 12

Where can i find some info on the 11.5 or 12'S?

He means find pistons to suit 11.5:1 or 12:1 compression.

SR16 pistons in a 2 litre VE is race gas only territory.

Well thats probably out of the question.

just machine the sr16 pistons down, and machine deeper valve reliefs.... depending on how you do it you can get it down to 12.2-11.8

just curious  would 95 octane be enough?

If you take off a lot the piston crown will be very thin.

if you take .050 out of the valve reliefs you will have ~12.0:1
