: Nitrous on the ve

I'm inspired by the thread in the video section. I want to roll a 150 shot nitrous on my VE and I am wondering what I all need. Miko said rods and pistons and a ported head.

I was wondering if I should change my crank out for a 8cw when I do that?

I am going to run a JWT ecu and I am wondering if I should send it to them and get the nos daughter board and maybe reprogram the ecu for a bit bigger injectors than stock too?

I also have these parts.
Gregs pullies
N1 cams
Jgy light flywheel
and i still gotta get the springs and retainers.

Just looking for opinions on how I should set the car up for 150 shot.
Also I read somewhere that the sr16ve n1 intake manifold has 2 sets of injectors and I'm wondering if I could run a direct port setup through the extra set of holes if I can find one? Opinions please.

I know your all about turbo, but the original plan was N/a. Now I'm thinking a 100 or 150 shot would be sweet. I really don't want to tap the block, and turbo it and IC an all that. Id rather have the off the bottle drivability.

I like you enjoy the drivability of a stout NA car. I use to get that all the time back in the days. Everyone would say don't let me catch you on a empty bottle. I would just reply back don't let me catch you on a full bottle :D

Nitrous does suck because it runs out but, when you have a nice healthy bottle and the pressure is up that first squeeze is priceless :D:D:D:D It makes it all well worth the wait.

Nitrous cars give you best of both worlds. On a well set up VE you can have a very fun NA car and then by the flip of a switch all hell can break loose.

I am in the process of setting things up to do the same. I am going to do a mild high compression built. My goal is to make a decent amount of power NA and they spray it with a healthy shot.

Now you mentioned a JWT nitrous computer. I ran one on my DE and I loved it. I miss the set up very much. I plan on doing pretty much the same idea but, using a standalone that I am currently running.

Have it programmed for bigger injectors and the shot of choice. I would assume with some 444 cc injectors of 550cc injectors you could get away with it on a VE.

I've been running 80 shot for a while.35 runs on nitrios and some of them to top of 4th gear. And my compression is still above 210.Know I'm know going with N1 cams and a 100 shot and aiming for 310whp atleast. With stock motor and a 80 shot I will spin in second gear and leave both tires marked on the street for a good distance.Like stratton said.A ve with nos= baaaadaaaas
