stock USDM SR20 compression is 9.5:1, while SOME JDM primera motors are 10:1, 8.5:1 is the bluebird/avenir SR20DET, IIRC

I see.... any easy way to tell if your JDM is 10:1 or not? *crosses fingers* :D

not by looking on the outside. if there is, nobody is willing to share that info.

I think you can identify the 10:1 primera motors by their tubular headers....someone correct me if im wrong

apparently you can look through the plug wells at the pistons to tell. There is another post somewhere around here (I think in the general forum) that has a picture of what to look for.

There's been a general consensus that you can't tell just by lookin' down plug hole with a flashlight. I know I wasn't.

Check the other forums on some posts about using coat hanger wires as a feeler...
