I found a website that describes the procedure but I am having a problem. Most of the bolts have one hole that is facing the hat and I can't get the wire in there to wrap it around the head. I never pay people to work on my car but I am considering paying someone to do this job.

I'm missing something. I guess I'm not reading this right... can you rephrase your question for this old timer? Thanks bloke.

2-piece brake rotors have about 8 bolts that hold the hat to the caliper. These bolts have small holes in them. What you are supposed to do is take some wire and tie the bolts together so that they can't loosen themselves.

Got you. I was think of factory brakes. :) Maybe a thinner Stainless wire would fit. When you do get the wire through, put both ends of the wire into the tip of a drill and use the drill (slow rate) to get a clean wined. It looks great that way. You may have to loosen the bolts 1st if you can't get the wire through. Contact the manufacture if you still have problems.

There is a trick, Ive never done it but seen it a couple of times...you do pass one piece of the wire thru the hole and twist it, but you have to continue the same wires to the next bolt. Keeping in mind the direction the bolt *loosens* and take the end of the twisted wires that come out the hole in a direction that will *tighten* the bolt and move onto the next bolt, you continue this with all bolts. I hope I made sense with this...
BTW if you need thinner SS wire, I got loads...in 0.040", 0.051", 0.064", 0.081" and larger.......all 316L stainless and pretty soft.
