I am tired of searching this, and calling around to find out this burning question...CAN A STOCK 92 S40SX FUEL PUMP PROVIDE ENOUGH VOLUME TO SUFFICIENTLY SUPPLY AN SR20DET AT STOCK BOOST. Nobody seems to know the flow rate (LPH) and all just say, "Upgrade to a Walbro 255" I intend to do that, but I just got the car a couple days ago with the swap already done, and don't plan on modding boost levels for a while. Is this a safe temporary set-up?? Thanks in advance for any help

Moving this one to the 240 section.

I just went throught this last week. My stock fuel pump (1992 240SX) could not supply enough fuel while boosting in 3rd, 4th, or 5th gear at 7psi, the car was bogging/hesitating badly. I swapped out to the Walbro 255lph fuel pump and all is good again.

Some have successfully run the stock fuel pump at low boost, but why take the chance... to change out to the Walbro should only take 1 hour and costs around $90.
