: Clutch is making noise at idle

But as soon as I push the clutch in it goes away. It sounds like a chatter, or as if the cluch isn't fully disengaged. What makes this so wierd is that I replaced it like 10k ago, and haven't heard a peep until now. I have check the adjustment cable and that hasn't changed since the install.

TIA

If it's a sort of grinding sound, I would put money on the TO bearing.

It sounds more like a rubbing than a grinding. It doesn't even sound like metal rubbing. Maybe the TO bearing wasn't lubed enough when it was installed?

Grinding was a poor choice of words on my part. When I heard the one on Ben's car it sounded like something was "rubbing" with a SLIGHT bit of harsh grind to it--I do mean a SLIGHT bit.

Question: Did you replace the TO bearing when you did the clutch? If so, I would bet it's NOT the TO bearing. If you DIDN'T replace it, I would bet it IS the TO bearing.

Grease might make it do that, but I wouldn't understand why it didn't do it from the very time you installed it. It sounded like you have had it installed for a while and it just started.

I would put my money on TO bearing. I have replaced a few and they all made different noises as they started dying. Use only factory!!!
