You need a spacer to move them out just a little

4 x 100 offset, i'll look into getting a spacer if that'll do it. hesitant on putting these H & R springs on. anyone got a top passenger-side motor mount that's local to me within driving distance? thanks guys.

4x100 would be your bolt pattern..........its not a top hat it is hitting your lower spring perch (top hat is what you bolt a strut tower bar to.)

your off set will be something like +40 +35 +45. you will need spacers and longer wheel studs to fix the promblem.

45 series is the smallest they make for a 16" rim....unless ur like the VDubs and special order low pro's for 13" rims from Europe :eek2:

^^^X2...4x100 is bolt pattern...I ran 40 & 45 series tires with a +40 offset with no rubbing issues...

Just get a small spacer for the rear. I think I have a 1/4inch spacer and didnt need a longer stud. I my wheels are 45+ offest with a 205/45/16, and lemme tell you there isnt much room at allllll. Barely made with that spacer.

If you are on 16x7 +40 or higher offset wheels then you will prob need a spacer to run 205/45/16 tires. H&R 5mm kits are only $60 and include longer studs. I've been running them on my rear for 4 or 5 years now.

PS Don't bother changing to 40 series tires, they ride worse and you are more likely to bend a wheel if you hit a bad pothole.

40's do not grow on trees, indeed - not many make them, but they exist - B'stone stopped making them in their re950 or whatever they are now long living tire but not very sticky, no tears shed: autox on them is kinda like running on snow. My 16*7 OZ's are 37mm offset, and the 40's clear by about 3/16" - not a lot to play with. I've thought about going to 45's next round but they might touch.
