: Brake Question

I just have a question about my calipers.
I was putting new brakes in, and bought calipers, my vin starts with 1, not J.
So I bought the US calipers, the ones that it said belonged on my car.
However, they did not match up on the front, and it ended up being the calipers for the cars beginning with vin J, that fit my car.
I was just wondering if anyone would know why this would be?
I can't imagine they grabbed the parts from the wrong bin, since they should not have had a bin with those parts in it in the first place.

From looking at your past posts, it looks like you have a B13 sentra... and you probably just got calipers for the B13 NX2000.

Do the calipers have AD22VF stamped on them and are they larger than the calipers? If so, be happy, go pick up a set of rotors and pads for an NX2000 and slap them on :D

There was no ADV22, that is what I suspected so I looked.
I apologize for not mentioning the car, I have a 93 SE-R (B13).
There are two models, one made in Japan, and one made, I think in Tenessee.
I have the one made here. The vin starts with "1" for cars made here.
Title even says US Sentra right on it.
The ones made in Japan's vin start with "J", I do not have that.
However, when buying calipers, I bought the ones specifically for the US made sentra 2.0L vin starting with 1.
They did not fit.
I double checked to find out if the caliper said ADV22, it said AB something, I cant remember.
Anyway, the store said try the Japanese ones, and they fit.
I am just wondering, if they were better, or how would they have found their way onto my car?

As far as I recall none of the SE-R's were built in Japan only the NX2000.I could be wrong.
