how do u tell if u hav a 1st prod. starter or a 2nd prod. model starter in 97 200sx ser?

Pull it out and hand it to the guy at the auto parts store.Make them decide.That way if it's wrong,they made the mistake.That was the smartass answer,I think once it's out check to see who built it.Mitsubishi makes one of them,don't remember which is 1st prod.or 2nd.
