: TO bearing...

Ben just helped me instal my clutch this weekend and we realized we didn't grease the TO bearing when we put it in. The clutch operates fine and there was grease on the spline in the tranny when we pulled the old one that was working fine.

I am curious if this is going to cause a problem. I would hate to have to pull the tranny to grease that thing--what a massive pain. I am thinking that I might as well just wait and see what happens. If I get strange noises, I can easily suspect it's the bearing. Then I have to pull it, replace it and grease the new one. If nothing happens, I save a headache of pulling that tranny again.

Please tell me you all would agree:)

If not, anyone in Cleveland or Columbus willing to help me with this during the end of July? Jheer? Jason?

Thanks,

The throw out bearing shouldn't need greasing - except maybe at the 2 spots where the arms push the bearing into the pressure plate.

My guess is you'll be fine.

I am glad to hear that you agree. I can't even imagine having to take that apart again for some grease:) My fingers are crossed:)

should be ok if no problems yet, but if something isnt right you got to do what you got to do.
