Hey,

Can anyone help me out... It seems like whenever it gets really hot out my car wont start??? I went to Kragens to have them test my battery and alternator and they are both fine... the guy there said the only other idea he had was that maybe it was the starter solenoids?? Also call me crazy, but it seems to happen almost only when my car is full of people... Im sure that has nothing to do with it... But I think the heat does... Any help would be AWESOME cause im getting tired of having it not start... Oh, and when it wont start i normally let it sit for like 5 minutes and it starts up fine then...??? HELP :)

Come on... No one has any ideas?? I just spent 30 minutes stuck in the shopping center parking lot cause it wouldnt start!!! :mad:

my buddies old toyota celica, 86, did the same thing. start up fine cold, hard as hell to start hot. it turned out to be a faulty "ignitor"

Does the starter make any noises?

Yeah, it clicks and i can hear like the fuel pumps or something starting... It just wont turn over...??

Mine sort of did this. It would start fine the first start of the day. When I would go into a store and come out it would start real real hard. Barely turned over at all. I thought the starter was going as the battery is new and there are warning lights when the altornator is going. I then checked the water/acid level in my battery to find it low. topped it off and haven't had the problem since.

My friends car did this (99 eclipse). She took it to the dealer and they figured out it was the fuel injectors. Although..her car just had trouble starting, not "off, then right back on again" problems.

My car is doign the same thing, it barely starts up so i have to rev it for a few secs to keep it going. Havent checked it out yet, no time. WHen i do I will post if that helps.
