when i let off the gas in any gear my car shakes until i press the gas again...also the car shakes heavily when i turn it on. any idea what it is?

Those are pretty universal symptoms, could be a number of things. My best guesses though, in order of probability:


1. Motor mounts

2. Alignment

3. Something with the suspension, axle, CV joint etc....

4. Make sure the lug nuts are tight just in case.



You didn't say how bad it is - but if the vibration is severe enough your car may be un-safe to drive - if you're not qualified get a mechanic to check it out.

vibration isnt too bad, but its only when i let off the gas in gear...kinda bad. cv axles have been replaced 1.5 months ago.

Sound more like a rough idle. Really rough.

That would be another batch of potential problems. Maybe you need to look over your ignition system, check your timing, make sure all vacuum hoses are connected and good.
