Soko, isnt just 10:1 motors, they have USDM and JDM motors for just about all car manufacturers as well as transmissions, manual, auto, hydraulic and cable. If you live in the area of one of there shops you might want to go check it out.

Dunno, seems a bit high, they wanted 1800 for a DET and 2500 for a GTiR, but they had to get it shipped in from the other warehouse.

Lowport and highport SR20s use different oil filters. Whatever intake manifold type you had before, try the filter from the other car.

Call up Soshin in New Brunswick, for you NJ/NY folk. 866-ENG-TRAN. My buddy got a JDM from Soshin (talk to efrain) for $530 out the door, and we got to pick from about 12 motors. They are CLEAN!

Just talk with him a bit....he'll go down in price. Say that you've heard of people getting them for that much.

Got my motor in today for $275.00 and $112.00 shipping from California to Omaha, Nebraska.

There are like 5 different SOKO companies listed on their website (3 in Cali), 1 in Chicago, and 1 in NJ...if I'm not mistaken.

I called them all and also got various prices on the sr20 engine, plus a wide variation in shipping charges. My engine took 1 week to get here, so that's pretty fast.

Call Soshin in South Gate, California. Ask for Hector and tell him Mike from Omaha sent you. You can get the motors for $275.00 from him, and his number is: Try this - (800)635-1619 (USA), and this number if you're in Cali - (800)543-2476 (CA).

I'll let you know how the install went once I find a mechanic.

For all that have done this...what needs to be swapped out and changed prior to dropping this in? Also, what's easiest, from the top or bottom?

Thanks and God Bless!
Mike
PS - how do I post a pic so I can post pics of the engine so you guys can see it?
PSS - Just called Hector and told him you guys were interested...so call up before they're all snapped up :) Trannies are $325...at least that's what he quoted me.
