Hi,
I recently replaced a broken hose coming off my A/C compressor. After I replaced it I added a can of r134a + o-ring conditioner + oil from wallmart. My compressor now makes fluttering noises and the a/c is not that cold. I got a reading from a gauge that indicated it was in a low, but acceptable pressure range (took it from the low side). If I created an air tight seal by replacing my hose and then adding r134a have I overpressurized the system? Should I have evacuated it to 0 pressure then added the gas? What could the compressor noise be? Thanks.
