I just tried e-mailing our friend NX2kRidah@aol.com about my $600 - It's been 2 1/2 weeks since I heard a word from him.

I wrote this long email and hit send, and I get a message that his email is no longer valid and AOL says it's not a valid screen name anymore. I find it ironic that he said to me before that "wouldn't you think if this was a scam I would change my e-mail address?"

Fucking piece of shit! He probably never even had any kind of JWT cams or anything, just made a fake post in the For Sale forum, stole my $600, and ran.

I filed for mail fraud with the FBI computer crime division and with the U.S. Postal service. They wrote back and gave me a password and case #, and told me I would be contacted soon by someone.

I also sent a priority letter addressed to the "Current home owner" to his address a few days ago, since I found out recently Josh is a 18-year old high school punk who most likely lives with his parents. I described the situation in detail and left off my return address in case he gets the mail or saw it first before it got to them. I don't know anyone else's name that lives there, so I just sent it to the "current home owner."

Aside from that, any of you in Tampa, here's his address:

Any info or anything you guys can do down there for me would be great, I said before, anyone living near him and directly responsible for getting my $600 back to me will be rewarded with $100 for your time.

Lastly, if you're reading this and wondering why you should care, or like several shallow people have accused me of enjoying the attention - think again. $600 is ALOT of money to lose on our forum by being scammed. It is everyones business when someone purposely defrauds another member.

Hey man sorry to hear about your loss. At least you are doing something about it. Most people would just be pissed for a long time. I am going down to Florida in a few weeks, if you know nothing by then I might stop by that kids house. It makes me mad when people do shit like that. Its damn near like stealing your car, but from across the country.

Sorry to hear all of this Jordan!! It really hurts to see that somone has comover to our Forum (I mean Bens Forum;) ) and screw somone over. This pisses me off! I am in FL and I am sure I will maybe someday run into this guy at a Nissan meet of some kind. I will call him out!! :mad:

You need to do more than file wih the USPS and such. You need to get local on Josh's ass. Find the county sheriff's office phone number there, and call them up. You may be able to press charges that way, and have a warrant issued for his arrest in his home county. Just a thought.

There's a great thread over at www.turbobuick.com about a guy named Joey who did the same thing. Take an hour of your time, Jordan, and read that thread in its entirety. The problem was solved using local police help. The guy that got screwed in that situation tells what to do to get justice served swiftly.

Whatever you do, Jordan, go read that post.

I agree about that post. It was well worth reading, even for those of us who are not being scammed. There is a lot of information to be gleaned from there...There is also a humorous sid as to how screwed lil joey was after the authorities were contacted. Jordan, I wish you the best. I wish I could say I had $600 to spend on some cams... I hope you are able to get mroe out of this than just the $600. Time is money and he has stolen much from you.

Thanks guys for the address. I just e-mailed both the Tampa and Hillsborough addresses explaining the situation. I will personally call them on Monday too.

Oh man. You guys gotta hear this. I don't want to jump to conclusions yet so I will keep details to a minimum.

I was just talking with another forum member, who will remain anonymous for now, who sent a guy money for JWT s3 cams he listed in the For Sale forum.

He sent the guy the money on June 25th... It's July 5th and he hasn't heard anything. Now in most cases you could assume he is just a slow seller. But here's why I find this odd:

-The guy refused to accept Paypal from him, which is exactly what NX2kRidah did when I asked him about it back then. NX2k said something like "no it will take too long" or "they mess with my money" or something lame.

-The guy made a post recently saying he will have a JDM engine soon. NX2kRidah purchased a JDM engine with the $600 I sent him.

-Both NX2KRidah and this person's posts have strangely similar grammar, spelling and lack of punctuation.

-Both live in Florida.

I put the possibility of this out there, because alot of this seems eerily similar - no accusations yet, but only time will tell. Will surely have more on this soon. Again this could be a big nothing, or a big something.

I'm really interested to hear what is going to come out of this, but, I want to say as the owner of sr20deforum.com, that I DO NOT approve of the "we're going to gang up and take the $600 out of this guy's ass" attitude. I just want to say that this is an opinion of several of the members of the forum, not "sr20deforum coming after him." If trouble comes from this, I don't want myself or the forums involved in the group beating charges.

I agree you should go after him with full legal force, but I DO NOT agree in partaking in violence when there was not violence involved in the first place. If someone stole $600 from me without me ever seeing him, I would not want to cause him physical harm. If he beat up my wife, then that would be a different story...

Ya - I agree with Ben, in fact, Storm if anything does happen to him, you and anyone that even hinted of harming him could be in some deep shiznit - posting such things on a public forum is not a good idea.

Let the law catch him, and his new cell mate can take care of the physical pain part the first time he bends over to get the soap :-P

Storm... If the other guy you are talking about sent this guy money (not through PayPal), then he has the guy's name and address, correct? Was it the Tampa area?

I agree that violence from the forum should not happen... isn't more than 4 a conspiracy? I hope this fool pays, but let the convicts in jail have their fun... Good luck with the PD!
