The inlet tube on my heater core broke off (damn plastic)...i dont need the heater so i want to bypass it....my question is...on the top hose there is a valve that opens and closes when the heater is activated which allows the water to flow into the core...BUT if the heater is not on, the valve is closed.....so is this circuit pretty much useless ? Considering that the water doesnt flow when the heater is off ? can i just plug up the 2 heater core hoses ? or would it be better to use a 'U' tube to allow it flow ...... thanx
ps...i would like to pimp slap the rocket scientist that decided to use plastic on a high temperature water connection...

I had the same thing last years man. I don't know what's that call. I just "cheuam" the metal tube together man. So, the water which came from the radiator can't flowto make the heat. But, you were using the god-damn-plastic-shit. The problem is when the water get damn hot, it melt through the plastic/rubber and You might heard the "zzzzzzzzz" sound. Which is the water leaked out pretty fast.(coz, the pump is working) Get it.....?
So, what you need to do is : Go find some metal tube to connect with the engine which is on the left side, right? and "cheuam" at the end of the tube. That's it BANGERZ....!!
And I'm so mad that fucking car shop(remember where we went around my house) They change my metal tube to be just a goddamn rubber and he said "You don't need a heater metal tube, it use less" So, that's how I found out your problem haaa..

oh yeah.... that shop that tried to adjust your idle by tightening the throttle cable....ehhh, stay far away from that place...i ended up using hydraulic hoses to bypass the heater core....my po' old ass went the cheap do-it-your self way...
