: Dynoed today

today i went to dyna motorsports in toronto. The first pull was 183 hp. After three hours and a lot of tuning the car ended up at 202.9 hp and 140.7 tq. These results are corrected and the dyno was a dyna pack. i'll get my brother to post pics of the dyno sheets when he gets a chance.

here is the for sale thread for the motor.

ve head with sr20turbofreak springs, sr20turbofreak cams, 3 angle valve job, the head is mildly ported around valve seats and bowls, vet head gasket, new timing chain, new main bearing, new rod bearings, re-seized and balenced rods with arp studs, arp main studs, lightened de 8cw crank, johnson crank scraper, ve oil pump, roller rocker pistons with valve releifs cut for the cams, CS cam gears, ve water pump pully, crank pully that is 1/2 the weight of the stock pully, no power steering or ac. water pump and altronator run on the same belt. made 196whp with this setup and made 202.9 on n1 cams

very nice. looking forward to the chart.

rr pistons in a ve... so around ~11.0:1, but then the valve reliefs bring it back down to..?

What are you running for header and exhaust?

yeh i can only assume that the compression is around 10.5:1 becuase the reliefs are pretty huge. i have a 3 inch exhaust with 2 mufflers and a resonator. i have a sr20turbofreak header.

Great #'s The TQ seems a little low. What do you feel could be the cause of that?

It was run on a dynapack. If it was run on a dynojet, the torque and hp numbers would probably be a bit higher. Not trying to claim the numbers should be higher, but that may explain discrepancies between this and other charts. The important thing is that we picked up nearly 18hp and 12 lb ft from when we arrived and when we left. The car is extremely quick, and it was done on a conservative tune. The AFR is about 13.0-13.1 through the entire curve, as measured at the collector.

I'm looking at the dyno chart now, the torque curve looks almost like a ruler. Between 3000rpm and 8000 rpm the torque varies only about 15 lb ft. The power peaks at 7600-7700 rpm and stays above 200 past 8000. Hopefully we will get the chart up soon.

what were the specs on the header you used?

Nice numbers. Why u selling the motor?

RR pistons are A+

seems a bit low considering the top of the line header, n1 cams, and the head work you have, along with the higher compression in the bottom.

stratton.

stratton. The compression on this motor is no more than 10.3 to 1 if that. He is running RR pistons with large valve notches.

Yep. The RR pistons have about the same size dish as the stock SR20VE piston and bigger valve releifs. I would say it's about the same compression as stock. Also keep in mind that this has the 8 counterweight crank.

I'm not sure of the lengths, but it was built by SR20Turbofreak and has a burns collector, megaphone and reverse cone. The car used to have a Fuji with a 3" pipe and this header feels much better above 7000RPM.

the head isn't stock but it's a very mild port job, it has a 3 angle vavle job and the seats are matched with the bowls but there is no porting on the bowls or in the runners. this is also on 89 octane fuel so we couldn't do too much with the timing because it would ping. i'm having a intake manifold made and may go back in a cupple of weeks and see the differences with that and also 94 octane fuel. yes i believe the torque is only at 140 because of the pistons and compression. the valve reliefs are almost 3mm deep because i wanted no problems. i'm selling the motor because i have a motor with a BC 91mm crank that is fully built that i'm putting in the car next year (was in my race car this year). i only drive this car in the summer and its comming off the road within the next month.

yea, i would really like to know what the runner length was aswell as what size collecotr was used... if you could fine out. i like the way your tq held all the way till almost 7800

you think you could find out for us? lengths and collector size?
