i get a strange but quiet grinding/rubbing noise at the right front tire. it only happens when the car is in gear and i let off the gas and goes away after the car's been drivien for about 15 min/warms up.
the rims are stock and i'm running 195, 55's so i dont think it's the wheels rubbing.

any suggestions to what it may be? im thinking it may be either a drivetrain issue or a bad motor mount (still running the old stock ones)

A couple of things come to mind, both of which have happened on my car:

1. Bearings - on mine, it only made noise while turning in one direction or the other, but not while going straight.

2. Worn out transaxle

Good luck in tracking down the noise...and hopefully it's nothing too serious...or expensive. :)

I had a similar problem when I bought my NX last year. Check your sway bar bushings and/or see if your axel boot is torn and if the grease is gone.

yeah...i was thinking it may be the transaxle too...i'll get that checked along w/ the others

My rubbing was the inner CV boot touching the "U" plastic piece attatched to the plastic shield.
