Well its been over a week, but I can finally drive my car. My car should have been done in 2 days, but oh the problems that i ran into. Ok, my gaskets for the plug wells in the vc needed replacing so I got the 4 new gaskets and some high temp paint to paint my vc while it was off. I poped the hood and see battery acid sprayed around over my engine, so i need a new batterey. I then take the vc of and paint it. I let it dry over night, then I go to put it back on the gaskets where the wronge one's, they where to small. This is sunday, so the dealership is closed and no one else had them. Monday I go to the dealership and they cant find the part number so he calls someone at nissan and they tell him the only way to get those gaskets is with a brand new vc, or so he says. I gave brain at courtesy a call and order then, but they wont be here till next week. I told alex, another forum member, what happened and he says he's got the gaskets, so i get them from him. I put the vc back on, and as im bolting it down i have to pull the hose coming out of the pcv valve back and the hose breaks in half. This is a molded hose, so I have to take another trip to the dealership, and of course they dont have it and have to order it. I got home and was able to use a 3/8 hose temporarily. I started my car up and smell fuel. I get out and look under the car and see fuel leaking out from under the hood. I stop the car, pulled the fuel pump fuse and start the car again to release the fuel pressure. I find that the fuel was leaking from the bottom side of the fuel filter so i take out the fuel filter and inspect the hose. It was fine. I poured the fuel out of the filter and it was pitch black. I put a new filter on and that stopped the leak. The thing is the fuel filter is less then 5k old. As some of you might know, iv been trying to find out why my car is about 10 hp short. Iv eliminated alot of the dif. possibilities and it looks like cloged injector might be it. I blew throught he fuel filter and got black fuel to come out of the end where its supposed to be clean. How do I take out the injectors and see if they are clean? And why would my fuel filter clog up so soon?
