This clutch was installed in January on a Stock SR20DE with only Place Racing Intake, custom ported Exhaust Manifold (Poor mans Header) and Courtesy Cat Back Exhaust.

This is supposedly the "STOCK" replacement disc that Courtesy Sells for $65 or so. As you can see the Disc itself is in good shape and was not Abused, but all the Rivets that hold the Center of the Clutch to the Disc material Sheered right off.

I Strongly Suggest that anyone that may have purchased one of these in the last 6 months, plans to replace it with the Nissan Factory Clutch KIT, it has a SOLID 1 piece disc that will not dissintegrate.

This is not fun to be driving home and have your clutch let go in this fashion. I have never had a Clutch go so cannot relate this to a typical "Blown" clutch. But there was grinding noise, at the Center spun, but the Disc did not and there was just no drive at all.

Sorry that the Pics are so large.

who installed your clutch? the photos look like what happens everytime someone install the tranny with one or none of the two allignment pins that line up the tranny with the block. when you do this the clutch breaks exactly like your photos within 350 miles how soon depends on how bad the alignment was and how tight the tranny bolts are allowing it to move.

I did it myself, has 2 pins in the tranny. And it's been at least 5K Like I said it was done back in January, and is a daily driver and AutoXer.

We are not hard on the launches.

From the way I see it, it had/has nothing to do with anything, except a bad CLUTCH with week structural integrity.

Something very odd happend to your disc. I'm holding a new Nissan disc (30100-53J14) now and it looks to be the same build and design as yours pictured. This disc is good for quite a lot of power boltons with a 30% (maybe even a 42%, etc...) Presure Plate. You may have gotten a defective disc. If you want to play it a bit safer, I found the Exedy version of this disc to be a bit stronger looking. Mind you though, not by much. Hope this gives you some ideas.

must have been a fluke. ive been running those discs in my ve drag car and all it sees is hard launches at 7k on slicks....when will i have spent enough to get a nice disc after replacing that stock one every weekend?? oh well theyre cheap. truth is id rather be buying discs than tranny parts.
