I took my 91 se-r to HRP last nite and ran a best of 15.545 @ 87.12 with a 2.27 60'. My best trap was 88.5 and that was when I left the car in 3rd gear instead of hitting 4th at 7000-7100rpm. Here are my timeslips below. The car weighed in at 2733lbs with driver (165lbs). Also I searched to find out what the marks mean on the UR UDP. IIRC there were 5 marks, the stock setting was between the 2nd and 3rd from the end or where the front of the car was. I thought they represented 0-5-10-15-20 respectively. So I set the base timing right before the last mark or about 3/4 between the last 2 marks. This was done while the car was at the proper idle. After the timing change the car seemed to drive better and had more throttle response. My mods are jdm SR20DE, cone filter, 2.25in cat + catback, UR UDP. I thought the car would be good for 15.1-15.4s @ 89-90mph. I'll try again with the bumped timing to see what effect it has.

Hey man you should seriously try some weight reduction, cause that thing is pretty heavy. Nothing big just maybe the spare tire, passenger seat and simple stuff like that. IF people ride with you take some tools and do it at the track. Also what wheels and tires are you using. What size also?

To me thats kinda silly though, it is a street car you might as well find out what it would run on the street. I guess if you really want to take out little things but with just taking out the backseat spare tire and front seat you are only going to lose like 50 60 pounds anyway and that isnt enough to make a big difference its like 100 pounds to a tenth.

Hey anything helps and his car just seems heavy. I guess its because he was in it. But weight reduction is free.

Thats not that bad for that time at all. Pretty average, don't feel bad.

The car weighs around 2560lbs without me so I don't think it is that heavy. I'm using B14 se-r wheels wrapped with potenza RE-71s in 195/50-15s.

I think your times are about right. A little more practice and you could lower them a bit!
