Just some research I've done over the past few days
Top cars in FSP at 07 nats
1. 99 Civic DX
2. 93 Civic CX
3. 2003 Focus
4. 2000 Protege
1991 Sentra - Base E Model (Edmunds) 2266lbs
My STS built SE-R car was 2410. From what I understand the biggest differences between the two cars are: bigger motor and heavier sway bars on the SE-R Model contributed to most of the weight difference. So any weight loss running an E model isn't so great.
Mac Struts
140HP/132TQ
1st 3.063 Effective - 12.791
2nd 1.826 7.625
Final 4.176
2003 Focus ZX3 Mac Struts
2250 lbs
130HP/135TQ
1st 3.67 Effective - 12.698
2nd 2.14 7.404
Final 3.46
If using legal 2.3 motor
151HP/154TQ
1st 3.417 Effective - 13.05
2nd 2.136 8.16
Final 3.82
2000 Protege ES Struts
2350 lbs
122HP/120TQ
1st 3.416 Effective - 14.022
2nd 1.842 7.561
Final 4.105
1999 Civic Hatch DX Wishbones
2050lbs
106HP/103TQ
1st 3.250 Effective - 12.096
2nd 1.762 6.558
Final 3.722
1993 Civic Hatch DX Wishbones
1900lbs
102HP/98TQ
1st 3.25 Effective - 12.636
2nd 1.762 6.850
Final 3.888
Effective ratio's are after taking into account final drives. I could go farther by including tire size if necessary I guess
Rumor has it that the Focus at nats was making 170ft lbs to the wheels. Feel free to use the numbers here for reference in your letters to the SEB. I gathered them from people familiar with the cars, manufacturer websites and specific model FAQ's. If there is anything you absolutely know for sure that I am mistaken about feel free to post here.
