i was surfin for parts today and i came across an excedy clutch kit part #I2030-70993. it was at the parts bin for 197.62. i thought i read somewhere in here that they didnt make these clutches anymore or something? does anyone know anything about these clutches. is it a good product. looked like organic disc. any comments?

exedy is a manufacturer for clutches in japan. My friend has had a exedy metallic puck style clutch in his 240SX w/SR20DET for a while now and gives him no problems at all. It grabs hard and can even chirp 4th gear

My ACT kit came with an organic Exedy disc (very similar to factory design). I love the whole setup. Exedy does supply clutch parts for some auto factories. I would say they know a thing or 2 about clutches.

so do u have the hd or xtreme pressure plate? i think im gonna get the exedy kit its only 197.00 the act is 320. i also have fifth gear popout so i have to get that fixed to and i havent started doing perf mods yet but the tranny is first on my list. anybody *** w any good tranny shops around tampa area? that clutch should be good up to 150-170hp right since from what ive read thats about all youll get before going turbo with all the bolt ons including cams.
