Ok last night I was just driving aroung for awhile when all of a sudden my car starts vibrating in the front end almost like there is a flat spot in one of the tires. Well it stopped and I thought it was just a bad spot in the street. Later on it did it again and I thought I had a flat tire I pull over to check it out and the tires looked fine. I was like what the hell? Well I figured out that it only really does it at around 3000 RPM's. What the hell can this be I drive my car today up the street and it is not doing it as bad but it is still there. I fear that it could be something bad. Could it be in the tranny or in the clutch. Im not sure I cant figure it out just yet? I did also notice that it would stop last night when I would push in the clutch and just let the car roll down the street. I dont know what it could be!!!!!!!!!!!!

The CV boot on my NX was torn for apporx a year and i kept putting off the repair, actually im surprised that the axles lasted so long. Anyways, the CV joint started seizing and caused sever vibrating prolems like what u stated. It would seize, then work fine the next few minutes...seize again for a little bit, then work fine for the rst of the day. So i finally changed it after i started getting the problems and the joint was so bad that you could not rotate the joint at all.

I put new left and right axles on my B13 in April do you think that they would start seizeing up so soon? Im kinda scared to drive my car anywhere now because of this problem. Is there any other possibilities for this knocking vibration thing that is going on with the front of my car. I still think it is somewhere in my clutch maybe.

Yeah. Just yesterday i started having teh same problem. Have you noticed it being worse it any particular gears, or when you are accelerating? I suspect my clutch, too.

Well I havent really noticed it worse in any certain gear but like I said at about 3000 RPM's. The car seems like the front end wants to bounce up and down almost.

Just wondering noticed you have GC set-up. How low is the car? Could this cause CV joints to go bad quicker because of the drive train angle? Just a thought.

I dont know if the GC setup makes the angle bad or not I just took it out for another drive and I really didnt notice any probably to much. I even did a little burn out. No real problems then not say that it will not do it again.

I know I need all new bushings in the front end I have some play in the steering wheel. I have the bushings on order from Summit but they are on back order and will not be shipped out till the second week in August. Also the ball joints are pretty rough looking also and they will also be replaced when the bushing kit comes in. Does anyone else have any ideas what could have caused this problem?

Really couldn't tell you for sure but your miles are getting up there. And I am sure halfshaft angles and tie rod end angles are off when we lower our cars. Certainly will increase the wear rate.
First set of ball joints in 130000 is not bad. JMO

Well today on the way to work the car was trying to shake itself to death! Maybe it will just break on the way home tonight from work. Being that Im on an Air Force base I dont think that I will be in to much trouble if what ever this is decides to finally break. I will know for sure what it is I just hope it doesnt tear up to much other stuff. haha.

Well I found out the problem and I have never herd of this happening the left axle has somehow came loose and tried to work itself out of the transmission. I just went out and found a big puddle of gear oil under the car and felt around at the left axle and noticed a big gap where there shouldnt be one at the tranny and there was alot of gear oil all around the axle and all over my hand. It is weird I put the new axles in, in April and drove the car since then from Virginia to New Mexico and all around here in Albuquerque and no problems then all of a sudden this. That is weird to me?

Well I fixed my car the axle just about fell out in my hand when I took the left front end apart. I think that the retaining ring on the end of the axle that goes into the tranny might be bad. I will see how long this last for. Hopefuly it will last until September because the SE-R is coming off the road for awhile to get overhauled with alot of new upgrades.
