intake or exhaust

im thinkin you mean exhaust in which i used a swivel head wratchet wrench to bring it down then a regular wrench iwth i put some torque on it

patience , even if you need to go an eighth of a turn at a time.

I had the same problem.

exhaust manifold... what kind of wrench did u use? a short one? cause it doesn't look like a standard craftsman 14mm wrench will fit, pretty cramped... i'll try it again after i get off work today...

its kinda a 2 handed method i did everything out of the car so it was a little easier. i did it a couple times infact considering i broke the last stud twice.

as in i had it all together and went to torque down that last stud and it broke TWICE

i had a problem with the two 10mm nut under the oil pan until i lost the craftsman wrench somewhere and picked up a different cheap brand of wrench( maybe try like that companion mex brand sears sells.) it made a world of difference for me it was a little narrower and the points where clocked differently.

got it, it was a bitch to get. had to remove my puller flex-a-lite fans. took maybe a hundred 15 degree wrist movements and a few wrench dropping to get it tight. got almost everything finished today, return line, water lines, hot side intercooler piping, cold side piping. all that is left is just the intake pipe, maf, and another intake pipe to route filter to wheel well. then gotta drill some holes and weld fittings for bov recirculate and valve cover breather line...
