Curious, i always see posts with people talking about upgraded airflow meters... are we talking, running the stock ECU? Or upgraded meters running with a re-programmed ECU?

I haven't really looked into this area, but I'm thinking an AFM swap is for better intake flow, etc? I guess the stocker is pretty restrictive..

Could someone give me a run down on the upgrade, ie why, benefits, etc.. or perhaps even just drop me a URL or something :)

Thanks, James

Stock meter is good for just about anything NA, Kojima upgraded to a bigger MAF on the SCC project car and made little to no gain with about 195hp to 200hp at the crank. Turbo cars will max out the stock meter easily, you can run a Bluebird or Pulsar meter which plugs right on stock harness. You can run a 300ZX or Corba meter which requires a harness change. You will have to have your ECU reprogramed or maybe use the Apex-i Super-AFC which you better know what your doing if you use it.

US spec DE MAF and BB MAF have the same readable flow limit.
