i have a 95 200sx se. powered by th ga16.
ok im upgrading my front brakes with the nx caliper and rotor (should upgrade MC)
im planning to to the drum to disk coversion with rear se-r calipers and rotors (should i get the MC from the se-r)
now with the nx up front and se-r in the rear theres the question of the altima MC.
i have see the use of the altima (93-97) MC for better break pedal feel.
im not putting out a lot of power seeing how im not racing or anything but i love all wheel disk and better braking.
thanks again.

A long-ish brake pedal might make you feel like you have great stopping power, but it gets annoying real fast.
The SE-R MC will help alleviate that problem when you install the NX fronts and do the rear disc conversion. It will also move the brake bias rearwards - a good thing because it evens out the amount of work your front and rear brakes are doing.
The Altima MC will eliminate the long pedal problem and add firmness to the pedal. Like the SE-R MC, it will also correct the brake bias slightly so you won't be on top of your front brakes all the time.
My personal vote is for the Altima MC.

ill keep looking at my sources for these parts. and go from there.
also all the part have to match right, like all abs or all non-abs. for MC, NX Calipers.
do the se-r rear calipers matter whether its abs or non-abs. or are they all the same.
how can i find out if my car has abs. its a 95 200sx se non-california model (one cat).
thanks again.

The easiest way is actually to pop open the hood and look at the brake master cylinder. ABS MCs have two ports coming out of the sides for the brake hard lines. Non-ABS MCs have four ports.
The MC will therefore have to match what you already have on your car. Thankfully, both the SE-R MC and Altima MC have same number of ports in the same spots as what you have, so as long as you get the correct part for your car, you should be ok.
There's no difference between ABS and non-ABS calipers in your case, so you're ok there.
You can get all of this stuff from www.rockauto.com (http://www.rockauto.com) for a pretty reasonable price. My only recommendation is that if you don't get a brand new MC, buy a rebuild kit and do an MC rebuild before the install. Rebuild kits are cheap and replacing the MC is a seriously time consuming process, so take the preemptive measure and potentially save yourself a lot of swearing in the long run.
Also if you buy a remanufactured MC from a parts store they do not come with the proportioning valves. You have to re-use your old PV's with the new MC.
Lastly there are two different manufacturers of MC's for Nissan Nabco and Tokico. The only issue is that the PV's are not interchangable between the two. So if you have a Tokico MC on your car you will need a Tokico MC when you upgrade in order to re-use your PV's. There is a lot of info. out there about this so search it if you have other questions.
