did a little searching didnt see much, i was wondering if any one has run 225/45/16 inch tires on an nx **? I've got the progress coil overs, so i have a bit of extra space behind the wheels and i def want to step up to a 16 inch wheel from my 15's.

I'd never go higher than 15 to be honest. But I'd think you'd need a 40 series for that size

I run 215/45/16 RS2's and it fits but it very close (although I'm running GC's I have yet to trim the perches)

Oddly enough my 325i had 225/45/16s on the rear and I was always curious if they would fit on the NX but I never got a chance to try it... I would assume that they would rub without some fender rolling work

I'm also running 215/45/16 on a 16x7 et40 and it's cutting it pretty close. I had to do some "messaging" on my AGX strut seat with a BFH along with a quarter inch spacer to keep it from rubbing. Damn worth it though, the Azenis in that size are the shizzle.

I put 205/40/17" and it rubbed (slighty) in the rear after a long drive every thing was ok,But you know not all tires are shapped the same the tires that rubbed were FALKEN ZIEX 502 then i busted a rim replaced it all new diferent style falken ZIEX 512 no rub.http://i173.photobucket.com/albums/w63/lambokilla_79/S6300264.jpg ps: this is the same wheel but its on my 200sx (on a jack)

Yeah, I've got 205/40/17's and they don't rub with a wheel spacer, haven't tried them without (bought it like that). Honestly I think I'd like something a little smaller though...16 would be nice.

Im running 215/40-17 ET38 on mine.

*** in the 16 ince, i tried to have my friends on.

Those where
215/35-16 ET15 in front
215/40-16 ET15 in rear.

The rims where 9 ince wide

And i had no problem driving with them, *** they where WAY to wide in the front, but on the read i think the same size in a ET20 would fit the rear just nicely.
NX got such a short rear axel , and once like me likes to have my rims out where the body ends :-)

Theres a few pics, for those who like to see what it looks like.

9 inches in the rear and no rubbing???:eek2: how come ? you know what i think? its the type of tires or brand japanese tires have a flatter side walls while in europe the tires are slanted hence leaning from the damper.

i've got 205/40/16 on my rear, no rubbing. with a 45 tire, i would think you have to use a wheel spacer. i know if i used a 45 tire, it would rub on my car.

Well the differnce is the ET messurement.

Dont know if you dont call it the same in the US, but quickly explained, its how much offcenter the rims center bolt thing is.

Lower ET means the rims comes further away from the car, and higher further under the car.
My normal once are ET38, normal on a NX is ET40.
Those rims on the pics above is ET15, so as you can see, much further out from the car :)

guys i have a question too.... if you put on 205/40/17 in there, then what's the spacer's size gonna be? co'z i took out a 215/45/17 on my sentra and i was trying to use the rims so i was planning to get a 205/40/17 since the 215/35/17 rides rough.... any advice too?
