Can anyone comment on the fitment and quality of the Predator hood? Does it weigh less than the stock hood? What happens when it rains does water go into the engine bay?
While all the questions. Well after I heard the negative comments about Fiber images cf hood, I'm thinking about getting the Predator.

I've never heard a negative comment on the fiber images hoods... that's weird...
But I have the aerogear predator hood and it's nice.. not the greatest hood... The hood latch is weird with it(you have to sqeeze your fingers in to pull the latch up and then pop your hood), and it needed about 2 hours of body work on it before i could get it painted due to divits and air pockets and such, but even after all that, I love it!!

But does water get in your engine bay matt?

I have only driven my car for 2 weeks since I got the hood, and it was never in the rain... so I couldn't tell you if it's an issue... I'm sure some water gets in... but it's about the same as having a CAI... you just need to be cautious...

i have the aero gear hood too, fits ok, just a little gap on one side of the hood and i had a custom metal piece welded in to make it easy to open the hood. and in the rain and when i wash my car i have had no probelms with water in the engine bay.

So you are saying that no water gets in there? I just don't want to get all screwed over in a thunderstorm. It doesn't come with mesh right?

It has the mesh already in it... it's made into the fiberglass... I believe they also make that style in carbon fiber now too...
