im installing a new o2 sensor this week and i have o2 sensor safe anti seize compound is there anything else i might need? special tools? plumbers tape or something?

I also have a pcv valve to install. can i just screw that in and torque it or do i need to use antiseize or that white plumbers tape?

i have the exact same question about the PCV Valve? going to install it today, do i need to torque it on?.......??or do i just screw it in tight??

I think you need an oxygen sensor socket. I remember changing mine and it makes it a lot quicker the wires get in the way. I used teflon on my Pcv Valve just don't go nuts with the tape and don't over tighten it. And yes I use anti seize on almost everything I change a must have item in your tool box.

STOP using plumbers tape on anything near the engine!!!!! This stuff if NOT safe to use around petroleum products. i.e. gas & oil. This can screw with sensors, and gum parts up. If you have to use teflon anything use teflon PASTE. This is formulated to be used around petro.

Use a high temp pipe sealant, like Threebond or simular (not sure if you get it in the US...) we use it here for lots of crap. I sealed my sump on with threebond after i removed it to knock out a small dent...

As for tightening, you shouldn't have to tighten it much at all... there's not a whole shit load of pressure coming out of there.
