Okay i got my manifold put onto the head(GTi-R block) and expecting the wastegate flange to be pointing straight up it points down. expecting the exhaust side of the turbo to be on the left it is on the right.
so my question is does anybody have this setup and if so could you tell me how you did the downpipe (what kind of bends, where, etc.) and then the wastegate dump pipe also ( to exit underneath the car). the down pipe is to be 3inch downpipe. alrighty then thanks in advance. peace

naw. no pics just yet. but now i have a different problem. when i put the turbo on so that the intake side is on the left pointing straight up in order to meet the top mount intercooler, the turbo sits where the radiator is. so now i have to order a new radiator that is smaller. i was thinking one from a civic si. so that is my new problem. got any ideas on that one?

Gti-R,
Whats up bro, from what you are describing here and also what you described to me before. You are installing the turbo backwards(exh. facing the driv side), I know it fits the top mount IC better- But you would have to custom make a downpipe and go thru a few unneeded steps.
I have the fmax set up- Exh. manifold, 3" DP, and the IC piping w/ a T3/T4, you can copy/get the dimensions of what I got and just get a Front mount IC to start w/- IMHO easiest route. Or you can just get the Fmax pieces from a dealer.
Also if you are set in keeping the Top Mount IC and your current set up, only local shop that "I" trust is Abacus.
We could get up or something PM me.

hey thanks for the info. yes i am dead set on keeping the top mount ......for now. i have grey coming over tonight from millenium to help me with my situation. he thinks we might be able to cut the existing radiator, a hole in it, and go from there. if not i think i am just gonna do the smaller radiator. but i will keep you up to date. hey, are you a member of drag757?

With the F-Max manifold, the the wastegate is on the bottom, the Turbo sits on top closest to the driver side. The compressor faces the battery. The exhaust to downpipe faces the passenger side. The center section of the turbo allows for 360 degree rotation of both housings.
I hope this helps.

alright this is what we are going to do. as i wanted i am going to keep the top mount ic. to fix the problem of the turbo hitting the radiator i am going to remove the stock hood latch and relocate the horn. that will allow me to move the radiator in front of the cross bar. the dimensions are going to be 19 inches long and 16 inches high for the radiator. i will get the radiator custom made with the inlet/ outlet on the side of the radiator instead of on top. i will have to use hood pins for this situation also. so right now i am waiting on a return call for the price and how long it will take to get the radiator in. so hopefully not much longer. thanks for everybody's help. peace
