Well after almost a week I came home last night, buttoned up a few things and turned the key. Fired up like it had been in there for years. A little clatter till everything got oil and after that it was singing like a SR should. The Vacume fitting that broke on me must not have been very important cause she ran like never before.
A short summary of what I done.
ES Torque mounts. Feel the vibrations but not too bad.
JWT Pressure PLate 2001 disc. Pedal feel is female friendly to say the least. But as long as I can grab a good chunk of 2nd I am OK with it.
UR 2 pulley set. Haven't really tested that yet but from the mile I drove it I could tell it was more responsive.
Tomarrow I will get out and break it in , and put the hood on:p and post my impressions.
Thanks to everyone that answered my questions!!

i got a question for you, did you put in an automatic sr20, if so, howed you get the torque converter bearing out (the thick ring on the crankshaft infront of pilot bearing) did you pull it out or machine it out? another question. how much was the JWT clutch set? i called and they put me on hold for like 30 mins...so i hung up.
thanks.

YEs the engine came out of a Auto tranny car, Had a flexplate on it.
No I did not touch any of the pilot bushing. I know the extra ring you are speaking of but I read on SE-R.net archives that the shaft never reaches the Pilot bushing.
JWT Pressure Plate and the 2001 SE clutch disc ran me about $320 after shipping. Yes I got put on hold for awhile to!

YEs I will be there Sunday. I am going to take her to the Farm and see if I can turn another 9.4 Fri.
When I 1st. posted this thread I didn't have the chance to drive it very much. I drove it to work today, taking the long way through several stop lights and man I was soo surprised.
I believe the new engine teamed with the 2 pulley set just makes it feel so much more responsive. The ES torque bushings gives off some vibrations but nothing I can't handle.
Kinda wierd cause my car feels some what tighter in the front end:rolleyes:
I noticed today that the steering felt a little wierd and I took a look and sure enough it seems I aquired a little - camber from pulling and re-installing my axles. Owe well I can use it for the Auto-X Sun.

WWOOOOOO HOOOOOOOO congrats to ya with the JDM, how does it feel to have a jungle animal in your possession? i too have installed a JDM engine in my SE-R and everytime i fire her up i get wood, havent figured out why yet but oh well, one question i got *** is that before i got my JDM installed i had a stock disc with a clutchmasters pressure plate but im thinking of changing the clutch completely next summer, i am also looking into a Fidanza flywheel ( 9 LBS ) does anyone know what kind of clutch i should get? i.e more bang for the buck i hear that centerforce has good strong clutches for SR20's, i might just upgrade to a stage 1 or 2 from Clutchmasters, but ***** i dont know how the grabbing power is im tryin to do some research before next summer, any suggestions? my old clutch isnt able to handle what mods i got so im considering the change......

1st. off I reccomend the 2001 SE clutch disc, because it is better.
2nd. I believe the ACT PP is cheaper than the JWT PP. I have heard good and bad things about ACT PP's
I haven't heard much more than " I don't like the soft pedal" from the JWT PP, thats why I went with it.
As far as flywheel I read someones post that sold me on getting pulleys instead of a Light Flywheel. The said that they couldn't believe they bought a lightweight flywheel before they bought the pulleys.
They are a lot cheaper than a flywheel and I am hear to tell you, I feel like $189 wasn't a lot for the performance I am getting
:D :D
