Was bored, so I decided to weigh my fidanza flywheel, which is advertised as weighing only 8.5lb (p#143621). I owned one of their 10.5lb flywheels a while back, and kinda remember myself doing the same thing w/ that one. Think it weighed in as advertised. Don't really remember thou. Think the P# was 143201 on the 10.5, not too sure thou. Will have to look thru a dozen reciepts for that. Well, my point is, when I weighed it, it came in at 10.4lb. My first thought was that they had sent me the light and not the super light flywheel, but I can't confirm any of this cause there's no P# on the flywheel itself. The only # I can see etched on it starts w/ the letter N or something. Trying to get a hold of a fidanza rep is impposiable. Someone help me! The last thing I want to do is install it, and later find out it was the wrong one (thou I am aware that I'd still be lighter than my stock one). Thanks.

Funny. The sec I hit the submit button on this thread, I got a call from shawn at fidanza. After telling him my story, he got the guys in the tech department to build one and throw it on the fed ex scale. He should be calling me back shortly. He did mention that the flywheel itself cami in at 6.5lbs. and when the tech's putr the ring gear and the friction plate on, he'll put it back on the scale. I'll let you guys know what the outcome is.

Wow, what a surprise! Just found out that there hasn't been an 8.5lb flywheel from fidanza (in production) since 05. From what I'm understanding, there were some design changes that year. Shawn at fidanza told me that they added weight to the engine side to beef them up for higher hp applications. Also said the added weight due to the cel that kept poppin up here and there due to the cps. Not too sure on how that would help. Apperantley the catalog was never updated to show the difference in weights. Also told me that their example (the one he was having built as i spoke w/ him the first time) came in at 10.5lbs. Hope this helps someone in the future.

My friend and I both weighed our old Fidanzas on a nice digital scale. His weighed 6.5lbs(D series honda) and mine was 7.5(B series honda). Both, IIRC were under the advertised weights.

Those are some nice flywheels (lightest I've ever heard of). Let me clarify some stuff written in my post above. When I said "there hasn't been an 8.5lb flywheel in production from fidanza", I was referring to the flywheels used in our small (but big) community. That of course, would be the SR nation! Seriously thou, just wanted to clear that up. Sorry if I caused any confusion. :biggthump :D :biggthump .

WOW!! Where in the hell did you get a 92.7 pound flywheel!? Your car must have been making like -28whp with that 92# stocker on there! Huge difference in the 9#, huh?  :biggthump Just kidding....I definately wouldnt venture to say that the stock flywheel is 92#, but its definately up there. Probably in the 25-30# range. I'll have to put one of my stock ones on the scale, and my Fidanza.

Maybe. I just thought that the SR16 flywheel was around that, and that was about 5-10# lighter than a stock USDM fly....def not 92#

Think my stocker (b13) weighed in at 23lbs, but don't quote me on that. I'll weigh the one in my b14 this weekend and get back to you guys.

I weighted my fidanza 143201 and its weights 9 to 9.5 pounds , I think they weights
8.5 without the ring gear and friction plate.
