Whats involved in removing the fuel rail from the manifold? How long does it take, what precautions... blah blah.. I see four bolts..
I'm thinking.. remove injectors, undo bolts, undo fuel line, yank off the fuel rail.. is there rubber gaskets or... does anything need to be purchased or replaced?
Thanks

Undo the fuel lines, remove the 4 bolts, and unplug the injectors. You don't have to remove them from the rail first.

If you have a lowport then you will need to remove the top of the intake manifold.
Also drain the fuel system of any pressure before you do all this. Have rags available because when you remove the rail, fuel will leak out the fuel pressure regulator and from the return hole.
Good time to change your fuel filter as well. ;)

Also there are metal washers on the Bolts and rubber type washers that go under the plates for the bolts. Be carefull when removing the bolts as these washers will come lose and fall.

Thanks guys, yeah its high-port (DET).. So remove fuel lines, unbolt, unplug injectors, and pull of whilst being careful not to loose some washer thingo's... neat.
If I did want to remove the injectors from the fuel rail, is it difficult? (I'm polishing the fuel rail, dont want to heat up those injectors)
