Just get the threaded fitting for the oil line and bring it to the store your gonna get the tap from and match the threads
djisnx2000 07-10-2002, 06:18 PM Hey Nayzan, don't you install a complete DET or a kit?
CharlieH98 07-10-2002, 06:32 PM Ben, a moderator and high priest of this forum, has the tools required to tap the block. He loans 'em for free. Here's a tip: drill a small hole thru the block from the top but drill the big hole from the bottom, and put a piece of cardboard over the radiator or remove the radiator.
Cheers,
Charlie :)
Nayzan 07-11-2002, 12:15 AM well, i install the sr20det kit on my sr20de ; )

playatx99 07-11-2002, 12:22 AM i think you were referring to this site?

Joes97SR20 07-11-2002, 11:05 AM Why not think about taping your oil pan....Its much easier and i heard safer..I just did it...But thats my opionon

hey808 07-11-2002, 04:13 PM Does the oil seperator dump oil back into the motor? If so, can you just remove the seperator, run a dedicated oil catch can from the valve cover, then use the return nipple originally used by the oil seperator as a return from the turbo? I'm trying to see if this may work. Anybody know exactly what goes on in the factory oil seperator?
djisnx2000 07-11-2002, 05:17 PM Nayzan, I just don't understand... If your det compression is good and the head isn't, take the head out of your sr20de and put it on your sr20det.

i wouldnt recommend that. oil will back up into the turbo that way, creating really high oil pressure in the turbo. that oil separator is there for a reason, it is to relieve pressure below the pistons in the crankcase.
just drill and tap the block for a 5/8ths NPT fitting right on the little flat spot where it returns on the DET.
Nayzan 07-11-2002, 09:10 PM yep! , i ll tap like it should...
I will also fit the low port intake on my high port sr20de...
easier for the fitting of the intercooler of my sr20det.
what you guys think about it?
Nayzan 07-11-2002, 09:16 PM the pistons of my sr20det are full of carbon, and my head is blown and blue and stripped, my botton shoul also be sucking, well my turbo should also....but my turbo is kind of really clean.
i took it of today and it is clean as a new one, it as been changed for sure...
so, i will putt the sr20det kit and the low port intake on my 1995 sr20de.
I ll get my 9.5:1 jwt programm in 2 weeks.
djisnx2000 07-11-2002, 09:27 PM Ok great, when will your car be at Julien Performance's? I woud like to see the work as a fellow sr20det from Quebec City.
Rockwood 07-11-2002, 09:51 PM i thought the low port and high port had different cylinder heads, making swapping of just the manifold unpossible.
Rockwood 07-11-2002, 09:53 PM ooops, its 3/8ths NPT, sorry, damned standard measurement system!
Nayzan 07-12-2002, 12:05 PM Ill get the ECU from julien performance , in 2 weeks...
3 weeks should be ok to run !
djisnx2000 07-12-2002, 12:26 PM You'll be the fourth DET in Quebec city, as I think there was a turboed sentra before me, then my nx2000, an nx1600 and you.
I hope it'll work fine!
