I decided to go to my muffler shop where I had my 2.25" catback exhaust installed (apex universal stainless steel exhaust), to find out if there was a way to make it a bit quieter. I'm tired of the drone on the road and the fact my neighbors can hear me when I leave or pull up.
So the muffler man recommended putting a resonator in between the cat and the exhaust pipe. It made a huge difference! The car is actually much more pleasant to drive now- it has a deep mellow sound. I might have lost a few hp but I think it's worth it.
I highly recommend it!

My Greddy came with a resonator and it's quite livable. Nice deep throaty sound that changes to a growl at WOT.

do you care to fill us in on this setup? is it just a apex muffler and full mandrel bends? how much does it cost and where can i get it. apex seems to be a high quality company.

I don't know if it's full mandrel bends or not, it was a custom job. But the resonator is a universal piece and was welded right in there up to the cat.

My HKS cat-back is pretty damn quiet for a full exhaust system. Hell, it almost looks stock and there have been many times where I still think its stock.
