I currently have 15x7 wheels, with 195/50/15 tires. How much would the car's handling suffer if I went to 6.5 or 6 inch wide wheels?

TIA

You could go to the 6 1/2's with no differance at all. I switched from 6 1/2 to 7's and coulden't tell any differance at all.

I don't think a 6.5 wheel will make a bit of difference. Many of the popular wheels only come in 6.5 for our cars (rota's). I have a 205/50/15 on my 6.5 wheels and they fit perfect. The wheels are also slightly better protected by the tire as a result of sitting in just a little. I have 205/50/15 on my oem b14 wheels also. I think they are 6 inch's wide. Most 205/50/15 tires are designed for a 5.5-7.5 wheel. With the 195 they don't recommend anything wider then 7 inch's anyway.

Yep! You will see no difference. I have the Rota 15x6.5 and I like it.

Here's some pics!

Oh! Potenza SO3 ROCKS!!!!

Although I'm not sure if it's the same for everyone. The center cap does not fit. :( The center cap that came with my wheels does not fit. It needs a deeper clip to be able to clip on to the wheels.

Hey nismo91,

I have the Rota Slipstreams (15x6.5, 40 offset) ON THE WAY, with Falken Azenis 205-50-15's. Are your Sub-Zero's 40 offset, and if so, did you need spacers in the back?
