I have a quick question. After a capacitor is fully charged will it remain charged? If it dosent dose that mean that it needs to be replaced? Please hit me back up.

it should stay charged. how do you know its discharging? The ones with volt meters will discharge slowly when not connected to a constant power scource. If you have a volt meter that can test for continuity. If you get continuity from post to post its shorted out somewhere so get a new one.

All caps will slowly discharge if not in constant use.. all digital caps will drain your battery .2 amps an hr which will kill a new battery in about a week and a half if the car is not drivin at all (not started) but if you drive the car everyday you''ll never have to worry about the cap being full of juice:biggthump

better make sure your cap is Not charged up when installing it (it could send a jolt through the amp causing it to pop a fuse) after installing it and when you do the very last thing during a system install and thats hooking up the fusible link (power wire)to the battery.. the cap will slowly charge up and be ready to pound in just a minute
