Man I just went to the track yesterday and I am damn disappointed. I only did a 15.89. I have PR cai, HS headers, UR pulleys, Greddy exhaust, 17 degree timing, and mobil1 0w30 synthethic. The temperature was 110 degrees yesterday but when my car was stock, I ran a best of 16.2 at the same track at around the same temperature.

What are the 1/4 mile times for you people? List your mods.

Ive never had the urge to go to a track and see my 1/4 times I think since I have an auto I would prolly never go lower than 14.5s unless I get some juice. But I had that G-TECH PRO thing and used it for a month I just cant remember what my times were all I remember was that little thing flashing GO-GO-GO LOL

Thats only a little slower then some people I know with classics when they first started out. Slightly more mods in your case but they never ran in that kind of heat either. Those same drivers busted into the 14's last trip. I saw a .5-.75 second improvement from just practicing. Post your 60ft time and tell us how many runs you made.

Bro, you can do way faster than that. i ran a 15.5 with just a cai, muffler, timing. practice.

damn i think something might be wrong with my car. Some of my friends' cars I used to be able to pull on, now i'm only tied up with them. I can no longer outpower them. I only did one run *** I was late. My 60ft 2.479, 1/8 10.305, mph 87.54

what was yer R/T? with a 2.4 60ft. i'm gonna say kinda bad, right? granted the heat has a huge part in how your engine is gonna run, but a lot of the race is left to the driver. my second time @ the track i only did a 15.4. but i did better than the 15.6 that i ran my first time. so like everyone says: PRACTICE. right now i need to work on launching at that last yellow rather than the green! :D

btw, i have gen3 HS headers, HS CAI, crush bent 2.5" catback w/ arospeed muff, 17 deg timing, 91 cam, JWT clutch and a SMC shifter. well i have a few other mods, but those are about it for making me go faster in the 1/4.

I am very traction/wheelhop limited. That's what I get for launching on stiff sidewall tires.

The time below was from before the suspension and control arm bushings.

yeah i got a pretty bad launch but still my trap speed is too low. I think I'm not pumping out as much power as it should. What is the trap speed for you guys?

hmm when mine was auto i got a 16.7 with ounly drivers seat and no spare or jack.

i am curious as to what i run with it now being stick. i would be dissappointed to run a high 16 again im hoping for a break into high 15's stock but what you guys posted with your mods seems like thats only a dream.

ohh well this is why my 240 is my projeckt;)

What to go. That's a good time. What tires were you on? I am shooting for 13's with my VE. Should know in a month or less. Times will be better when it cools off from the summer though.

wow 13s? Even a type-r with 195hp vtec can only do 14.7 stock.

LOL, LOL.

The 13's is just what others have been able to run with similiar VE's. Mine will have better cams and header but I also have extra wieght. Should still get me 13's BUT I am sure I am going to need to spend some time at the track to practice launching the car. I have not officially drag raced a FWD car ever. My current clutch is so weak that I have been babying it for 2 years or so. It was slipping pretty bad at the last autocross I went to. Low 14's at the start will not disappoint me.

It was on 50 series potenza 730's. I had better launches with the Screamin Eagles that came with the car. I have the Nismo Rear Insulator now, but I have not installed it yet. That might help also.

I ran a 15.4 @ 88 in my 98 SE with a Hotshot G3 header, Hotshot CAI, and ES mounts only.

Added JWT s4 cams and ran a 15.1 @ 90.
