how do you properly tension the belts? i put new pulleys and don't know how stiff i should be making the belts. i mean how do you tension the belts to spec? :confused:

just tighten the idler pulley and the tensionor until the belt is tight.i dont think there are any specs on belt tensioning.you should know if its tight enough or too lose.

There should be specs in your owners manual. It will tell you where to push down and how much the belt should move. Remember to check your belt about a week after driving and retighten it.
