i wouldnt recommend anything over 6000K

No such thing in a HID retrofit. If they did say they were legal, they'd be lying.

The source here is specifically about an H1 style bulb, but the same issues would apply to nearly every size and shape of halogen bulb.

I'm not telling anyone not to get them, in fact, I may be in for two sets myself, but it's best to know what you are getting into.

i see. had to do with the filament and the ballast. sounds like if you were to use an OEM system, then it's all good.
