Anyone have any tips on removing the valve cover? Car is a B13 se-r. I've got everything undone, just cant get the thing off. I've tried using a razor to cut the seal, also tried using a block of wood against where the valve cover meets and hitting it with a hammer to break the seal. No luck, this thing is stuck.
The manual does not recommend prying, but it seems like the only option left. Any ideas?

I have never heard of anyone having this problem. Are you sure that you got all the bolts out, including the one in the middle? I always lift up on the breather thing that goes to the intake.

Agreed. Check that bolt in the middle of the valve cover (between the spark plug tubes)... it's easy to miss.

i have had this happen a few times the gasket actually becomes like glue between cover and head . If your sure you got all the nuts use a prybar and pull up on the metal port on drivers side of cover.Me and the boys at the shop destroyed the cover on a stanza that this happened to.It was fuxxin redickless

How could I have overlooked something so simple??......You are right, I forgot the bolt in the middle between the spark plug holes (dumb)!. As soon as I took out the plug wires I placed a rag on top of the plug holes, thus hiding the elusive last bolt.
Anyways, lesson learned and mission accomplished. Thanks for the replies.

Don't feel bad. I've pulled valve covers plenty of times and just last week, I was about to put a prybar to use on a spare engine, when I noticed I forgot that damn bolt in the middle!
