does anyone know or tell me if the alpine V-12 amp is good or not?

they are good but IMO JL is the best amp you can buy. I worked at a car audio shop for a while so if you got some questions let me know. sr20200sx (AIM)

Correct me if I am wrong. I have been off the car stereo bandwagon for a while.

JL still only makes sub amps. I have heard the Alpine V12 amps are very nice. I have personal experience with Eclipse. And htey last though being fried and everything. And the Eclipse amps sounds awesome! Just remember amps make a huuuge difference.

Oh man. I have an Alpine T707 (2-channel) pushing my 2 Alpine Type-S 12''s and it sounds better than any of my friends systems. The amp has never shut off, even when I hit huge potholes or after having it on for hours. I was thinking about getting another one that is 4-channel to run on my mids, but its expensive and for now I am done with audio, going all engine mods. You know the deal...

Alpine is a good company that produces quality products. Your amp is not the best ont he market but i can assure you it is quality. As far as JL making the best amps, Im gonna have to strongly disagree. JL is a good company that makes good products that are a value. I personally use JL subs and i am satisfied but not enthralled. I have Cadence amps that i LOVE and would recomend to anyone willing to spend money. The amps i have (2 of them) retail for 480 brand new but through my connections i got them for myself for 112 New. The price is steep but the quality reflects that. For what its worth I have about 3 years in the car audio industry working as a box builder and installer. I currently work at an audio shop so you can rest assure that i'm not talking out of my anus.

try the new 1000W JL amp, hehehe. Actually why dont you make it 2 of them and get the new JL(sizeyouwantgoeshere)W7to specifically answer your question..yes they are very clean and i personally would reccommend it.

BTW i wasnt trying to diss on Alpine, i think they make a very good products. I will only buy their headunits from now on....but for an amplifier i would go with JL Hands down....Alpine seems to make (at least i think as do many of the guys at the shop I worked at) the Q series MB Quarts to "bright" if you will. I havent really had any other experience with many other speakers besides those.

i have three alpine v12 amps...f307 t407 and 1507. though i do not have too much to compare this to, i will say that i love my setup. i am sure that there are better amps, but i figured i owuld let you *** that i think these amps have performed admirably

so what you are saying blair, is that the jl amp is better than any Mac, a/d/s, or Xtant amp?????? ya, the jl is a nice amp, you could get about the same quality for about the same price yes, anything better on the market. definately.

RRRROOWLLL how did this thread become so heated in the one day of my absence? Its ok I'm not offended by your remarks about alpine I know I have a good enough system and for me its waayy too loud on 25% power and I'm thinking of ditching one sub and going with 1 12'' sub and a nice set of components because my system seems to bring nothing but headaches, but its awesome to have one when you pull into a gathering, or when the 89 honda is blaring his stock blown speakers and you just have to show him what's up. :D

I got two JL 10s. 1000W is a lil toooo much for me Im not into Techno music that much LOL boom boom boom sssss booom
