hey what tanny would you prefer for speed a 4 speed or a 5? cause i have a 4 and my car feels quicker than a 5

I would think it would depend on how close the gears are to each other. When I drove the spec-V I never even made it to the 6th gear, so I guess it doesn't help me much...

is this a joke?? the only way you have a 4 speed is if you have A) an automatic(bleh) or B) a 5speed with 5th gear popout...... in either way, your car is not ANY faster due to being a "4 speed" than an equally modded 5 speed

Yeah.. i had one for a week... 6th gear is like overdrive... good for long trips to save gas... that's about all.

no its not a joke and no thats not the case.....i have a ga16de with a 4 speed MANUAL and it feels faster than the 5 speeds ive driven

While I swapped engines in my car I drove my moms 92 sentra E.
I noticed it had really good pick up going down the highway.
I figured being in 4th. it was taching up alot more R's than a 5 sp. Thus keeping the enigine closer to the max in the powerband.

yeah thats what kind of car i have and i noticed more power on pick up 1st-4th than on the 5 speed ga16de's

4 speeds rock!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! one of the best transmissions are a 4 speed manual transmission, the m22, the m21 is also, and the t56 is also based off of those transmissions, just with overdrive and superoverdrive. they just are not vey efficient on the hwy.

Go with a NX1600 5-speed. From what i hear they have different gear ratios in them. I cant tell you from experience driving both cars, though. If i can find the info, i will help enlighten you.
