: GTi-R ECU on BB DET

Hi all,

I'm running a BB SR20DET with a gti-r ecu and it seems to be running fine. What I'm wondering is if the difference in injector impedance might be an issue?

I have an Apex'i S-AFC installed as well and the car runs fine.

Lately though, the injectors flood the engine at startup and I have to pull the pump relay to get it to start.

To cut a long story short, what are the consequences of using the GTI-R ecu with a BB DET?

Thanks

hey whats up? im going to use a GTI-R ECU too and i've been told by Andreas Miko that if you get the GTI-R injectors, everything should be kewl. so im gonna have this place called jgcustoms build me a fuel rail to fit our motor for 150 and grab the GTI-R injectors. Hows the ecu working though??/...no probs?
It beats buying a JWT ECu for 600 bucks huh? hit me back up

Yeah. It pulls a lot better than the stock DET ECU. It's a Top-Fuel tuned GTi-R ECU. Thing is though, I'm using the BB injectors etc and don't seem to be getting any big problems with impedance mismatch.

You'll have to make sure you get a GTi-R MAF too. I had to use my AFC to retune the MAF readings otherwise it ran really rich.

I did the same thing except I had a stock GTIR ECU with the stock sr20de MAF, BB 370cc injectors, It ran fine with no problems. That was with the AFC disconnected. Then I had to take it off and give it back. I have a BB ecu tuned with the Super AFC, I'm still waiting on larger injectors, and for me to leave Italy so I can test and tune that mug.

i plan on using a 300zx MAF, do you think ill have any problems with that set-up?

i forgot to say im using a stock GTI-R ecu

No it should run fine, But you need to account for the MAF by using either the AFC or getting your ecu tuned by JWT.

So if i get the GTI-R MAF, will i have to use an AFC and still get my ECU reprogramed by JWT for 6 Benjamins? If so then going with the GTI-R ECU would have been a waste of time as well as getting the custom rail made and buying some GTI-R injectors.....or will it

If you use a GTIR MAF with a GTIR ECU you wont need a Super AFC or get anything programed by JWT.

KEWL....Do you know where i can find a working one with everything i need on it for a good price ( cheap ) ?
