Ok, here's the scoop. I bought the JWT ECU w/ the S3 cam program 2 years ago. I now just got my new reprogrammed JWT ECU for high compression, C2 cams, etc. My question is in regards to the core charge. Has anyone been in this situation before? Can I return a stock ECU as the core or do I have to return my JWT ECU as a core?

The way JWT worded it to me is they are charging me $595 for a new programmed ECU plus a $500 core charge. The core charge gets refunded upon receiving a ECU and I get another credit of $495 for being a previous JWT customer meaning it only costs me $100 to get the reprogrammed ECU.

Is the $100 charge contingent upon returning a JWT ECU?

Thanks for any input,

Steve

It sounds to me like they worded it to make it sound like a better deal than it is. Particularly in the "credit of $495 for being a previous JWT customer."

Basically, if I had a regular JWT ECU and put s3/s4 cams in my car and wanted to send the ECU back to them to get the s3/s4 program, it would cost me $100. I *think* that's what you're asking in terms of their costs but I'm not sure.
