Anyone ever connect two intercoolers together with some turbo hose? I was considering doing this with the bb intercoolers, side by side. Am I nuts? Would there be any benefits to doing this?

dual intercoolers are generally for twin turboed cars. it would be a full custom stup if you did, but you would see moregains from a largeer front mount intercooler rather than a dual overhead intercooler.

A true twin Supra doesn't use 2 I/Cs... It has ONE big one. What twin I/Cs are for are for the NON-sequential turbos.

I meant putting them up front and connecting them to make them "one" intercooler using some turbo hose.

For a more stealthy effect of course ;) I see where your getting at.

Of course its not gonna be as effiecient as a single cooler, but if they are large enough then it will be good. The 300ZX doesnt have a huge FMIC it has two side ones, but it has good venting towards the cores, so you gotta have some way of divering the air towards the two cores.

when you have I/C piping, you want a direct as possible route from the compressor wheel to the intercooler to the intake. if you had them connected to the front, side by side, this would be good, but if you had them further apart than 1-3 feet, I would say screw stealth, just get a front mount intercooler, and get some mesh to put up front on your grill, or just spraypaint the intercooler black.
