You can prevent future water spots by wiping off your car with a cotton towel or shimmy after she gets wet.

I had a lot of hard water on my car because it came from Arizona. I had a professional buff it out basically cutting into the clearcoat. He said he was surprised at how much was there. This was on my B14. YMMV.

buff it out..or you can use cut acid wash...same stuff to clean polished aluminum

goto a car wash with an absorber rag, spray the whole thing with wheel cleaner, let it sit, then rinse, and wipe it down with the absorber rag.

Okay now this will realy work #1 do not wash your car when its hot or in the direct sunlight #2 If it rains and it hot outside it wont hurt if you go out and dry her off (ppl look at this as Obsesive) #3 when you wash the car and its dried off get a nice cleaner wax (I use mothers) or paint cleaner Wax.aplicator.and cotton terry cloth and go to town wax on wax off :rofl: (Ive always wanted to say that) take your time if this does not work No no no no no this will work as long as its either MOTHERS or MEGUERERS cleaner waxes

I have the same problem :( Stupid water marks. I've tried Meguiars cleaner wax, and bought a good chamios and meguiar cloth that absorbes water well, but nothing I've tried is getting rid of them. Always parked under shade and not washed in hot weather, I'm not sure how the hell I got them! Will try a cut and polish next. Goodluck with it all, sucks to have stains.

Or, if you're too lazy, get meguiars cleaner wax, and a small orbital buffer. Worked wonders on my 95 200sx. Restored the paint to like new finish, except for where the clearcoat had disappeared.

Meguiers Swirl Remover and a nice carnuba wax. I like Meguiers Gold Class wax, works great. Then i finish with the spray wax from Meguiers, you just spray on and wipe off, it does not dry. Then you have a spot free shine. Only use the Swirl Remover once or at most twice a year. It is a mild cutting compound but brings it back to new again.

give her a brazilian when she's wet and it'll be clean enough to eat off of.

only thing about drying off the car after a rain is the particles in the rainwater, you can easily make micro-scratches if you wipe it then. I have done it though.

Cut the clear and rebuff. Other than that repaint.

NuGlass! it can be bought at Car Quest, and i'm sure other places. For old stubborn water spots, using the buffer is a must. For more recent ones, you can just apply it as you would a wax but with a little more pressure. I bought it to get the acid rain spots off my side windows and realized it worked on the paint too.
