well, i would just not worry about it, as its the bottom of the car, pretty much no one will be seeing it. thats just me though, and im sorta lazy. but, if you really want to though, id say go ahead and get some degreaser stuff and a rag and just start wiping it down. do that for a while.

I work for Rusty Eck Ford here in Leavenworth KS, I know American made cars and I drive an import oh well. Any how if you really want to clean under the car the way the pro's do (I am a detailer for the dealership) You need to lift the car in the air some how and I mean more than just put the car on jacks. You will need some degreaser but you will also need a power washer. The reason I say a power washer is because it puts out hot water at a high rate of pressure. That helps the degrease do its job. After that is done you will probably need to get the car undercoated with some protectent, generally the only way that can be done is if you go to a dealership and have them to do it, who knows what that will cost. We charge around 200 dollars for it. Well best of luck.

the "gunk" on the bottom of your car is TAR that was sprayed on by Nissan to prevent noise and to protect the underside of the car.

I leave all that stuff on the bottom of my car to protect it from the elements. I spray it down though.
