Has anybody on this forum covered the things that need to be done in order to switch from a t25c to a t28??? on a stock manifold originally meant for a T25????
is it worth the money too switch or do the hybrid t28 guts in a t25 housing???

You can fit the T28 on a Bluebird manifold with some grinding of the block. Or a spacer. You could fit a T28 on an Avenir manifold which came with a T25 as well. Not much modification is needed.

i just switched my aviner t25 to a gti-r t28. my aviner t25 was clocked up like a bb & gti-r so i just have to do is redo the hot side of the ic( due to the difference's with the gti-r & bb outlet pipe ). the oil & water lines were the same except for one of the water lines , the one that comes from behing the thermostat housing. the gti-r water line is shorter then the aviner water line. all you do is get a longer hose simple fix. if you can afford steel braided lines GET THEM! youll thank me when your trying to align the stock lines .what turbo do you have bb or aviner?

You must have a U13 setup. I believe U12 and U13 manifolds are the same, IIRC. You could make the turbo fit with a little shaving and depending how you want to keep your piping. As stated, the compressor outlet pipe will be have to be modded for the flange. As far as water lines, I don't know how they line up because I run aftermarket lines and put them whereever I want.

u13 up u12 down

jesus christ, the u12 has top mount therefore clocked up makes sense right? the u13 has fmic=clocked down, thanks for the input though.

And might i point you to a very informative thread that i'm sure we've all read...

does it really matter, you can re-clock the outlet to point where ever you would like it to.. just resecure the WG bracket and your set.

the more important question the kid should be asking is, on my w10 motor, will a t28 clear my block? does it position the charger differently where my oem hardline, oil and watter, will not line up?
